It is also known as a destination by regular Nepal visitors who just want to spend their holidays in an exotic surrounding. Paradise for bird watchers, herbalists and sport anglers! Over 60 bird varieties are nesting inside the lush and green resort and in the near by forest! The spacious resort is an excellent facility for establishing all sorts of activities, such as for example a healing center, yoga retreat, ashram, boarding academy, boarding school, or simply as a pensioners retreat colony for +/- 80 residents.
.The Middim Khola Resort Village has a fully furnished and equipped cozy little Restaurant with extended garden and a spacious lodge with solar hot shower bathroom block that can host 24 trekkers and short term visitors at a time (expandable).
On top of that are 5 larger ground floor buildings with up to six multiple purpose rooms each, a huge camping-trekking-groups canteen with stage for dancing performances, 1 free standing bungalow with 4 rooms and roof terrace, 1 free standing 2 room – cottage, 12 extra single rooms with each separate entrance doors, a volley ball-game field in the center of the resort, 6 beautiful gazebo’s ,5 fish ponds with self breeding Tilapia fish (approx one ton fish per season if given the right attention to it, like regular feeding, pond cleaning and separating thousands of fingerlings from adults etc.), a small fish smoke hut made of stainless steel interior, a huge rabbit-staple, a chicken run, 3 green-houses, plenty large plots of farming land, a 2-compartment guarding dog kennel and much more. A helicopter landing place that belongs to the resort is located down at the river side.
Electricity comes from 2 huge solar panel parks and a silent Japanese Diesel generator with an underground wiring network. (Total 8 KW). Water supply is from a powerful well in the nearby forest all year round with an underground pipeline-network and two water reservoirs inside the resort of total 6000 l volume. The sewer system is underground too and easy to control. Large underground septic tanks are joined to the toilet blocks.
The resort village rests on a rock plateau approx. 30 m above the River Middim Khola which carries cool water down all the way from the Annapurna Range. The river is teeming with fish, such as snow trout, eel, river carp and even sweet water shrimps. During Winter season the water level is low enough to walk through (January till half April) From May till beginning of December the river is suitable for swimming and rafting. Fishing with rod or throwing net is rewarding all year round. On the side attached to the resort (or at any remote spot) fishing is legal for the resort residents and visitors. No fishing is allowed at other domains of locals who’s property is close to the river. No problem though, the closest neighbors are 2,5 miles away! Shyauli Bazaar Middim Khola Resort is the geographical middle of Nepal.

Located at the south end down by the river is the Riverside Hospital with out patient clinic and 24 emergency beds. This belongs to Himalaya Rescue Dog Squad Nepal and is staffed and open all year through by HRDSN personnel.
Himalaya Rescue Dog Squad Nepal is also the builder and owner/seller of the Middim Khola Resort. The Hospital is build in the same style as the resort. It serves the farmers of Middim Khola Valley as health facility and as emergency clinic for foreign visitors and trekkers.
The climate is subtropical mild thorough the whole year and heating the rooms is not necessary. One can grow and harvest a wide range of vegetables all year round and eat fresh fruit all the time too! As a surprise for the interested buyer: The Resort Village has over 120 fruit trees, a wide range of varieties that also have different seasons of ripening! papaya, bananas, mango’s, khaki-fruit, star-fruit, jack-fruit, 5 varieties of lemons alone, two types of oranges, grapefruit, guava, apricots, peers, grapes, passion fruit and newly planted saplings of avocado trees.(strawberries stay inside one of the green-houses, protected from birds)
Furthermore one finds trees such as cinnamon, wintergreen, tiger balm, hibiscus (for tea),
eucalyptus and many varieties more! All these goodies make the entire project self sustainable in vegetables and fruit! One can observe butterflies all year through.
However, winter mornings- and- late- afternoons are sometimes fogy and cold and one has to wear warm clothes outside. Winter is ideal for growing European or North American vegetables such as kale, cabbage etc.
There is no motor able road to the resort village. A trekking path runs alongside the river from the last road head with a bus stop that is 6 miles away in Karaputar that is across a suspension bridge of another river (The Madi Khola). Where the Middim Khola joins the Madi Khola to the south one has to walk trough rice fields and along small hamlets with friendly people to the village Laxmi Bazaar. Then one may have to wade about three times through the meandering waters of the Middim Khola to reach the resort ( only possible in Winter time). During the rain season one has to go from Laxmi Bazaar uphill through the forest to reach Shyauli Bazaar. See the monkeys chatting in the trees! There are small leopards too in that forest….no worry…they never show up and steal only free walking chickens at dawn! Having doubts? Fly from Kathmandu to the Middim Khola Resort by Helicopter with Captain Dawa Sherpa from Dynasty…he knows the way!
